Jesus Take The Wheel

One of my favorite American Idols, Carrie Underwood, has made news with her hit single Jesus Take The Wheel. The media is having a fit and they are not quite sure what to do with the lyrics. I have seen articles recently comparing her song to the WWJD bracelets. The name JESUS sure gets people all shook up, doesn't it?
Jesus take the wheel,
Take it from my hands,
'Cause I can't do this on my own:
I'm letting go. So give me one more chance,
To save me from this road I'm on:
Jesus take the wheel.
Good message and so fitting for my last post.

I just heard that song yesterday on KSCS. I love it. The DJs said nice things about it. I'm glad she took the risk to release a song like that. It's great. "Jesus, take the wheel of my life vehicle -- guide me and order my steps. I don't want You to be my COpilot, I want you to PILOT me. It's all about YOU." MOM

I've never heard that song before, but I may just buy her cd. I love it when people in Hollywood have the guts to stand up for our Lord! Like my man, Mel, when he made "The Passion of the Christ." Wasn't that awesome, and Hollywood went crazy. You don't see Mel anymore. It's so sad! Our country was founded on Christian beliefs and we've drifted so far away from that. Just means Jesus is coming soon and we do need to be prepared. We need to repent up, be on our knees and always be ready to share the good news.

I love your insight on things...you really make people think and look at things from a different perspective!!

I like to view myself in Jesus' car (and/or hummer). Saying are we there yet, are we there yet?? I am a child in the backseat letting HIM take me where we need to go. Sometimes He lets me ride shotgun. Sometimes I need to be in a carseat. I let HIM plan the trip, HE even packed for me, and He has the car-- the stops and the journey under control. Why would I need to tell Him where to stop or where to go from the back seat...or jump in the front and take over. I am so glad and happy that He lets me ask are we there yet. I am so happy that He wants me to ride with him and I can feel safe in His car or Hummer. He will take me to the best place and we will arrive at the right time. God I only am asking are we there yet because I know it is going to be great. I trust you but I am so excited to get where you want me to be. Thanks for placing this thought on my mind and in my heart.

I liked her when I saw her win but I haven't heard any of her stuff. We listen to only Christian stations here (although I sneak country in sometimes). I'll have to check it out.

What do you mean with your last line "Good message and so fitting for my last post."? Did I miss something or just misunderstand?

I was just saying that her song has a good message and it went along with the last post I had written.
