Take a walk outside

A little while ago, I walked outside with Josiah to see the moon. He loves looking at the moon so we went out on the back patio to see if we could find it. As we were standing outside I noticed how pretty our Christmas tree looked through the window. Looking through the windows, I could see the decorations, the tv, toys on the floor, the kids' jackets and my husband and baby girl. At that moment as I was standing on the outside looking at the inside, I felt the Holy Spirit trying to get my attention. It was another "God Stop". In my spirit I felt like God was standing next to me whispering in my ear, "Do you remember that night when you were single living alone and you cried out asking for a husband? All those nights you were so lonely and you longed for someone to take care of you? Well, there He is. Do you remember when you and Jeremy got married and while you were building your first house you asked me to bless you with a family? Well, look at that little boy staring at the moon and that little girl crawling all over her Daddy. Do you remember those horrible things you experienced as a little girl and you asked me to give you a normal life? Well, look around you. Everything you wanted is all around you."

It's so easy to forget about all the things God has done for us. Sometimes you may need to walk outside and take a look on the inside. Jesus will never let you down. He will be faithful to complete what He started in you. Don't give up on your heart's desire. For He is the one that put it there!

God has truly blessed you and your family. Somehow I knew God had his hand on your life when I first met you, when you were one year old. You are a special person to me and I hope you know how much I Love You. You have always "made your mother and I proud of you". I appreciate the Godly person you have become. God has richly blessed you and will continue to do so if you continue to "seek" Him. I Love You. Thanks for the wonderfull grand children and son-in-law. Daddy James.

Well, I was going to comment but I've got to let this lump in my throat subside. Will comment later. I love you. Mom

OK - much needed. I was thinking about all of this yesterday and how blessed I am and about how often I fail to see that. Sometimes in our life we only focus on the things we do not have instead of being thankful for what or who is there beside us daily. Thank you Amanda for helping me keep it in perspective.

Sometimes I pull myself into a little cocoon and I go way back in my life. It's painful and I don't like some of the stuff. But, when I go back and look far into my future I am amazed at the change and the miracle. God has been so faithful. God had His hand on me from the moment I was formed. I made bad choices and it took me down a road of dispair but God was always there. It's good to go back and look forward. It's good to go outside and look "in" to where I am now. I have been blessed with "things", yes, but what I love most of all is this: I love standing outside the window and looking in at my beautiful family that God has blessed me with. I am loved and I love. Love is what God has commanded us to do. Thank You, Lord, for loving me so I can love. Forgiving me so that I can forgive.

How blessed I truly am! All 3 of my boys are a gift from God...though at times I take them for granted and fuss, nag, complain way too much!! What a joy to have family in your life, those that love you unconditionally-no matter how moody I am, etc. Thanks for the reminder!
